Is This Real?
Did it really happen? Did the good guy really win? Did the world get a little brighter this morning? Fantastic.
Truly fantastic. People today were excited and smiling… about politics. Nuts! But fantastic!
And then fireworks today! Hurrah!
And then, the news I didn’t want. Michael Crichton has died.
It’s been a very weird day.

I feel sad about Michael Crichton too. I had no idea he was ill. Such a highly imaginative writer. He will be missed.

I’ve never much cared for fireworks. I think it’s the intrusiveness of the bangs I object to most. Still, we mustn’t forget how those nasty Catholics tried to blow up Parliament.
