I’m not ‘boring’. I’m English.
Dimming Lights
So I am not a huge fan of the news right now. It’s not that there is anything unusually horrible on it… it’s just so much less hopeful than usual. The world is coming to an end. Well, the money world. And it’s going out bit by bit – small country by small country, bank by bank, lights being switched off the main grid and then powered back up by generators of the IMF.
And, no, I don’t pretend to even vaguely understand it. It just makes me sad.
The world really is run by oil isn’t it?
It’s funny, while I have this storm in my head, and the storm outside is really getting into the swing of things, that the world is going through this quiet change.
Yeah, I really don’t know what I’m talking about. I’m sure it’s going to get real noisy soon.

The prophets had been saying this would come, but the rest of the world stood idley by and fiddled like Nero as the fires approached our own “Rome”. Now I begin to wonder who else is “right” that the powers that be have been trying to push to the side…..Global warming may be just as bad as they say, or maybe the talk of killer asteroids is not just talk…… I am beginning to fear……

Blondefabulous – sorry it’s taken a while to reply… I know exactly what you mean – conspiracies start to enter my head and I start to believe the unbelievable. The world is coming to a changr. It seems like a pipe dream that it could be for the good…

Oil is a major part of our lives. I know some things like plastic and asphalt require more changes and are not going to go away anytime soon, but alternative sources of fuel for transportation should be and should have been changing. Sad that we are here in 2008 and hardly any major dent into regular fueled vehicles.
