I’m not ‘boring’. I’m English.
Another Day
So at the end of the first full day at the Paralympics TeamGB is in 2nd place with 4 glorious Gold medals. We are second only to the US who also has 4 glorious Gold medals – yay us! and US! SO that’s the proud bit out of the way. Not that you would in any way be aware that the Paralympics were on if you watched TV or listened to the radio – they weren’t even mentioned on the news. 4 GOLD MEDALS PEOPLE!!!
I have a small confession to make.
I forgot to refill my blood pressure pills prescription and have not had them for 3 days. It will be at least another 2 before I get them. It is my own stupid fault – I thought I had more left than I did. It’s quite amazing, to me, how quickly the good they do goes away. It feels once again like my blood is boiling, I feel like I am spoiling for a fight, the tiredness is two times and add a bit worse, and… well… I am just more… bleurgh.
I’ll be so glad when I can pick up my pills and take them again!

Congrats to you and us!
I almost had to go on BP meds until I showed up to my doc’s office with a BP of 119/77. I often have high readings because I have anxiety, and checking my BP is one of the things that get me nervous.
So try to relax, take slow, deep breaths. I’ve read that if you breath slowly enough to take only 10 breaths a minute, it can greatly help your BP, and for you to relax. Sounds corny, but believe me, it works, even if you don’t have anxiety.
Get those meds, woman! I want you to feel better. Take care!

Those paralympians are so inspiring. If I lost a limb or something it would be all moan, moan, moan and saying constantly ‘my life sucks.’ They are so tenacious. So amazing.
Get those meds, my dear. We don’t want you to get ill. I have low blood pressure due to anaemia and it is no fun. Look after yourself!

Paul – I have the same problem – going to the doctors raises my blood pressure so the high reading I get is not the high I have all the time. Have been doing the slow breathing thing for most of the day – sleeping is great for the blood pressure!
Checked with the doctors and Wednesday is drug day! Hurrah!
Selma – I agree – if I lost a limb I’d be rubbish – lying around all day complaining about my life and just generally being awful to be around!
How about I take some of your low BP, you have some of my High BP and we’ll level them both out?!
