So the storm that has once again caused massive flooding in the South West of England and South Wales is heading up the coast and should be with us sometime in the next… oh who knows.  Each weather report I have listened to and site I have gone to gives me a different report of how bad it is going to be.  It is supposed to be throwing buckets at us right now and… (quick peep out of the window) nothing.  It’s by no means clear and is colder than it should be at this point of the year but it’s not wet.

There are some rather disturbingly large puddles which idiots in cars think it’s funny to drive through at speed drowning any pedestrians and a couple of roads have been blocked, but in comparison to the SW we are fine.  As we always are.  Oh, did you not know – this is Lancashire.  Nothing of excitement ever happens here – which is why most of the weather reports gloss over the fact we are here.

So I turn to the rest of the world for news.

Ghostbusters 3 looks like it is going ahead – two of the writers from The US Office have been hired… which indicates funny… BUT we al know that until there is an IMDB page not to get excited… so I am mildly thrilled – particularly if they get the original cast back together.  There is no funny like a Bill Murray funny.

La Machine landed in Liverpool – looks very impressive.  Even works in the rain. (Delmer, you might want to turn away from this bit)

The BBC has another video here – this is without doubt the Liverpool 08 City of Culture’s crowning jewel.

Oh and fantastic news – Channel 4 and it’s related channel’s will be good again – Big Brother has finally ended.  Davina et al can go back to making hair dye commercials and the UK can stop being tortured by the horrors.  Although ratings dropped to it’s lowest ever Big Brother 10 is back next year.  Had this been any other show it would have cancelled stamped all over it.  Damn.

And yes, this is a TV heavy post but is anyone else watching The Tudors? Holy hell I love that show. Yes, America, I know it finished AGES ago with you and we in the UK are only on episode 6… I love knowing what is going to happen though, but only wish they had taught the Tudors at school like this… although probably with slightly less sex.

Yes, the news and the Tudors were all the TV I watched today.  I am cutting down. I am taking your advice Dave.
