So, it is raining outside. Thick heavy drops that are warm to the touch. perfect summer rain. I was wandering around in the back garden with the world’s worst torch. It’s flickering light barely made it to the ground so I ended up using my mobile phone to illuminate the sodden ground. My t-shirt soaked to the ground I stumbled around in the near pitch black being attacked by hedges and what the hell was that shiny sliminess… Oh, and nearly being decapitated by the washing line.
No, it was not one of my midnight walks in the rain, this was a quite ernest hunt for the cat. If she gets wet and stays out all night she gets sick. Sniffles, heavy breathing, yowling in a weak pathetic manner and generally making me worry. BUt with the night and the rain and the fact she likes to hide under bushes where it is even darker made the 15 minute hunt absolutely pointless. She was not for coming in. I saw her for a split second but she was ooo slippery and ran under a bush that only someone with arms twice the length of mine could reach under.
Bloody cat.
The rain was so nice though. Warm but refreshing. If I was living in my own place I would so be walking in this now, or parked in the back yard with a brolly and music. I need to find me a millionaire benefactor who just wants to throw money at me so I can live in a place with a balcony and a wall sized flat screen TV… y’know, and bother you lot all day.
If anyone knows any they aren’t already schmoozing send them my way, k? Trust me, the parties will be a blast.

I hope your cat doesn’t get the sniffles. We need some more pics of her. Long overdue. Do you think millionaire benefactors exist anymore or have they vanished into the mists of urban myth along with an efficient public transport system and politicians who don’t believe their own hype? However, if I find one I’ll send him your way just as soon as I’ve emptied his wallet and absconded with his platinum Amex card.

I love a good rain. As long as I don’t have to drive in it.

Selma – She was having none of it today – I got the camera out to show her new collar off and she hissed at me and ran away. Mind you we had just had a wriggly cat issue when I was putting the new collar on her.
You can take the platinum but leave the black Amex card and we’ll be cool!
Avitable – Rain is great at night when I have no plans for a BBQ or similar. But I love walking in it. I’m hoping for a torrential downpour tomorrow!

When I was about 12 or 14 I went running down the hill in our backyard. At the bottom I continued running right up until the clothesline caught me across the eyes and took my feet out from beneath me.
A few weeks ago I got caught in a hard, warm rain. I turned around, walked home, and got an umbrella and then continued the walk. When the rain let up I put the umbrella down and walked around in the drizzle.
