Come Down
Bridget Frickin’ Jones.
Today was the first day in a long time that I didn’t have something to do or wasn’t asleep all day.
It was weird.
But less about my sitting around on my arse all day and more about Bridget Frickin’ Jones.
That bloody movie made me cry tonight, just little.
There were one or two bits that got me… and this post was going to be all about how this film made me feel a lot like crap about my life. But right now I want to talk about why I was watching this film in the first place.
I hate that show.
For those of you that don’t know Ground Force is a gardening show where several massively annoying people makeover gardens and spring the surprise on those who have been set up by their friends.
It is my brother’s favourite show. It is on every single day. It is really annoying. The presenters are self important, smug, and not entertaining. The damn show was on for an hour tonight and I just couldn’t take it tonight. Normally I can ignore the makeover crap on TV usually by drifting off to the wonderful World Wide Web and finding things to do but tonight… no… So, I was really glad when the decision was taken out of my hands. But, oh, did it have to be Bridget Jones?! That film makes me feel so like my life is rubbish and not at all hopeful. I also have weird issues with Mark Darcy’s haircut and coat… It’s a thing.
And I have just remembered I am guest posting over at It’s Me… Penelope tomorrow and I need an idea… Which I don’t have… I’m going to have a hunt for a bottle of wine. That should get me in the right mood!

Know what you mean. Bridget has moments where she can cheer you and moments where she makes you feel down. Looking forward to that guest post.
