The Most Exciting Thing Ever

You know when you enter a competition but know just know you have absolutely no chance of winning.  Well. Long story very very short.

I won a pair of tickets to the London première of The X-Files 2: I Want To Believe on 30th July  Oh yes. That’ll be me hob-nobbing with David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson, Chris Carter, Frank Spotnitz, Billy Connelly, Xzibit, Amanda Peet and all the rest of the stars.  It may be time for the black dress to come out and play again.

My baby brother is on duty to go with me if he can get time off (which he doubts) and travel arrangements are in hand.  It looks like I will have about 6 hours to waste in London on the day.

I am as giddy as a school kid after 15 bags of Haribo!

I have been watching the news on this movie for about 2 years now and I was beginning to think it was never going to get here.

Two weeks today, people!  Two weeks today!

Oh lordy I’m so excited.  Thank you so much Big Light!

I had other things I was going to talk about but, ahhhh, who cares?  The world is a very very shiny place today!

  10. blondefabulous - my Karma is having the time of it’s life at the moment - y’know, if it liked rollercoasters! If there are any pictures of me out there I will probably die of shock!

Dan - Thank you… re booing. I’m as likely to do that as you are to vote for Cameron! ;)

Avitable - I’m fairly certain that will get me arrested but I’ll see what I can do!

kapgar - Photoshop you in? Sure! It’ll be just like being there!

Penelope - I’ll be taking pictures of everything - I think my Flickr account will double over night!

Nat - Speak? To David? All I’ll manage is some kind of frantic mumbling followed by being lead quietly away. If I manage to suck up enough courage to actually go anywhere near him!

Selma - Thanks! I’m all tingly just thinking about it!

SJ - I’ll try not to get all ‘blade of grass-Tolkienesque about it. BUt I so know I’m going to! I may just have to do a condensed version and then a long long one for myself! News about mug? This morning my cat got very excited about a new box to try and fit in (she got her butt stuck)… The box was there because the mug arrived! And that’s how Bec got blog fodder for tonight! Shhh!

Jo - Lots of pictures - going to buy a much bigger memory card and a spare battery!

  11. I did very much enjoy Ms. Peet’s performance in Studio 60. On the subject of karma, it strikes me that there’s a simple two word phrase that proves there’s no such thing: “Lotto Rapist”.

  12. yorksdevil - oh, he’ll get his eventually. Hopefully… Please… Amanda Peet, however, I loved her in S60 and The Whole Nine Yards!
