I’m Not Saying Today Sucked…

Posted by bec on Jul 12, 2008 in Headspace |

…but when watching Twins is the highlight of your day? Yeah, today sucked.
I got up and sat in the chair in front of the TV and then moved to eat pizza and then went back to the chair and sat some more.
Oh there was some Twister and some Murder She Wrote in there but mostly there was some reading.
And some drinking tea. Lots and lots of fruit tea.
And then I went back to bed where I intend to watch some House and a few bad films and then sleep until tomorrow.
I promise to do something exciting… well something tomorrow.

I’ve been mostly watching baseball. One week of free mlb dot tv premium. Watched the Cubbies play the Giants. 7 - 2 going into the ninth with Marmol due to pitch. “This game’s over”, thinks I - off I go to eat ice cream. When I came back to watch the D-backs @ Phillies, I found out the Cubs had blown their five-run lead and won in the 11th.

I watched a DVD (The Prestige - brilliant if you haven’t seen it) and when it finished Twins had just started. I couldn’t face it though so I posted pictures of dead mice on my blog instead - very constructive!

yorksdevil - Baseball is much like cricket to me - people say numbers and I nod to make it look like I have the first idea what the score actually is!

delmer - watching, very much watching. I tend to not play as I am quite the major klutz!

Penelope - Had I been in control of the remote I would have been watching season 4 of The O.C. Am on episode 4. Thank God for Virgin’s TV On Demand! Am drifting over to you blog to see pic… seen pic. Ugh.

sitting is a highly underrated past time i myself am in training for the lounge Olympics long distance sitting event which basically involves marathons of dys on end where thinking things like….the kitchen is to far away to go and make food……ill leave it until the next advert break are highly recommended. Lack of money means lack of pizza but i nearly always make it to the kitchen before passing out through sher, boredom / hunger. What doesn’t help is the close facility of box sets and no one to say “oh god not that one again”. Because this inevitably means the marathon goes one and on and on. and the to do list gets longer and longer, On a relater note don’t worry about what e r doctors say they haven t got a clue about specific problems there training is all so verified that when it comes down to thins such as sickness and cronic fatigue there clueless. My blind friend went to er with massive pain in her side and chronic fatigue and they sent her packing with pain killers and a diagnosis of exaggerating. She later suffered massive kidney failure. So don’t just assume there right that your only suffering from stress keep going to real doctors. Cause you really are not crazy if that much is going wrong the rout of thee problem is not going to be stress…..wheres house when you need him….oh wait he will just say its lupus……wait a minuet ive had a brain wave have you got lupus?

Oh darling, I’ve been doing nothing but laying about since I fractured my wrist and totally am having a hard time blogging or having phone conversations with people who want me to tell them of the exciting things that I’ve done.

So yeah, I get it :).

Neil - ER? ER?! Did she go to America? We don’t have ER’s in this country. We’re British. We have A&E’s. Casualty!

And it’s never Lupus!

Hilly - Oh honey! Am racing over to your blog to see what has been going on! This is what happens when I crawl up my own arse!

I love Twins. I often watch it when I’m feeling a little down. And Like Penelope, I really enjoyed The Prestige (probably because Christian Bale is my secret boyfriend). You should check it out.

Selma - I think it’s he cheesy cheesy 80s music that makes me want to run from Twins, and the plastic-ness that is Governor Arnie.
Two recommendations to see The prestige - that’s all I need. Bale… I shall worship your secret boyfriend from a stalker distance, k?
