<description>Kevin Spencer - If you like the ballady side then Under Rug Swept must be checked out for the tracks Flinch and So Unsexy. Mind you there are some fantastic rockier tracks on there too... Total Alanis whore here though - I even bought the De-Lovely soundtrack for her cover of (Let's Do It) Let's Fall In Love!

<description>I absolutely loved Jagged Little Pill and Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie. The latter album producing my fave song Thank U. I sort of lost track of her after that. I've heard some really good things about her latest album so will probably obtain it and then catch up on the others I missed in between.

<description>Selma - Taylor 'the yum' Hawkins? Damn - that must have been a good show. Turns out she is in the UK today and tomorrow. I really must start paying more attention! May have to go to the V festival just to see her play!

<description>I saw her live and she was fantastic. She had the very yummy drummer from the Foo Fighters - Taylor Hawkins - in her band. To me, the measure of a good singer is if they can sing well live and Alanis fitted the bill perfectly. I'll look forward to hearing her new album.

<description>Nat - I adore the Alanis version of My Humps - it made me laugh so hard the first time I saw it!

The idea of 'Britney' Alanis intrigues me but I kind of don't want to hear it... but I so do... Oh, the pain!

I think the last time I did an Alanis-centric post someone sent me a video of her doing 'Oh Canada' and 'The Stars and Stripes'. All it did was remind me how much cooler those National Anthems are than ours which always ends up being sung by Lesley Garrett or similar!</description>

		<description>I trust you've seen this?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W91sqAs-_-g
I don't love her, don't hate her.

Ok, so Alanis is from Ottawa. There is just SO much hype around here when she does anything. That I just get all "well, it can't be all that." Shrug. Yeah, I'm like that but maybe The Man likes her. A lot.

I remember her first album of bubble gum pop (think Britney Spears). She used to warble the national anthem pre CFL games. The Man swears they won whenever she sang. Shrug.

<description>Blondefabulous - Didn't the bad bad dance version that came out last year make you make you want to go medieval on some record producers ass?

My favourite soundtrack song is Still from Dogma. Uninvited comes in a very close second - so close it's a photo finish. But, my God, I love singing Uninvited!

<description>My fave of hers was always "Uninvited" from the movie City of Angels. At that time in my life, the song just spoke to me. Plus, the sweeping orchestral movements of the piece are frickin' awesome!

<description>Miss Britt - I know what you mean - Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie was my soundtrack at That Particular Time (another song I love love love). It's harsh but you kinda want her life to suck in a selfish way because then you know some more good 'themes' will come from her...

Penelope - Oh yes, listen to and enjoy - I think that there ae a couple you will REALLY enjoy!

robin - Thank you! Awesome? Me? Am blushing all over the place!

Hilly - Ooo... Versions of Violence - with that fantastic and totally true line...

And the ones that go unnoticed,
Still leave their mark once disappeared

Totally agree. With that base line it's a killer track!

I am going to have an all Alanis night - I can feel some writing coming on... possibly...
