Bloody Moronic Stupidity

So last night I wrote the perfect post - it was full of laughter and tears, open honesty and rich deep thoughts, beauty and reality, sun and rain.

Oh, you would have worshipped at my feet.  I would have won awards.

It was my brain on no sleep and I’d hit the wall.

Brilliant.

Obviously the Gods or whatever had decided that it was too good to be out there as I had apparently hit Save instead of Publish.

“No problem,” you are all yelling at the screen right now… yes, you are. “Just publish it now.”

Except you don’t realise that my stupidity is currently at ”sack of doorknobs” level.

While I was in the Draft folder I thought ‘Oh, I’ll clear out all the crap while I’m here - just delete it and start afresh.’

Yeah, you know where this is going.

I really wish I could remember any of it.  Any of it at all.

  3. i know your pain i once wrote a really good story but my computer ran out of battery and failed and when i re started the computer vista kindly told me that there was a document open when the computer was last on do i want to recover it…..so with a triumphant YAY! i took back the bad things said about vista and said oh hell yes recover that document…….only problem was apparently vistas definition of recover differs dramatically to mine. Vista recovers documents by saving a blank page over the top of nice documents. Could i remember any of what i had written….of course not but im sure it would of been published got the booker prize and i would be still currently living of the proceeds. Oh well!

  6. Ohhh can we all guess what it was about?? I reckon wine, and Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, and maybe a cat (but not one who craps everywhere like mine does)!
I’m hoping though that it was about you feeling a bit better now? :o)

  8. Dan - At least three paragraphs, but then it started to sound a bit gushy…

kapgar - 12 saved - all hopeless, about half were memes that I got bored with, 3 were GBBMC08 posts that I just wasn’t brave enough to post, there was one half finished story (which was coma inducing) and 2 or 3 sentences which I saved during the day at work to expand on when I got home and then couldn’t be bothered! Will never do that again… Oh who am I kidding!

Neil - Vista? Saying nothing. Not a bloody word.

    Avitable - Sarcasm drip much?

Dave2 - Do you have a copy of it? That’s amazing! Yeah, if you could just send it over that would be perfect!

Penelope - Wine and ice cream… Am having one right now and it ain’t dairy! Cat crapping? Bad luck. Mine is asleep on my knee at the moment. If she starts crapping it’ll be flying cat!

Blondefabulous - It’s the worst isn’t it?! (and hi!)
