Selma - Thank you, they seem to be coming under control now! I suggested the direct approach to him and... jelly... Dating... just the thought makes me want to have a glass of something!

Dave2 - Magic is what you are! But in a good way, not in a penguin suit and glamorous assistant type way!

Bec's last blog post..Letting The Fingers Do The Walking

I hope your side effects ease. Sometimes they can be hard to cope with. I am not the best expert in the world on dating as I have been married since the early 1800s (don't tell my hubby I said that) but I was thinking why doesn't your friend just ask her directly? Many of my single friends like the direct approach because they know where they stand. It might work. I don't envy him though - how nerve-wracking.

Glenn - A fellow lover of Selma - now she's got talent! It feels dull being English when everywhere else seems so much more exciting. Grass really is greener I suppose!

Inconvenient. Yes, that's the word. Day three today and I almost forgot. Next week I get the honour of taking others on top too! Joy! I thank od and the scientists for the medication we have available to us today. I sometimes have the guilt for the way we got it but then there's always a reason to feel guilty for something!

Nat - I can't wait to get the breathing problems I'm having sorted because then I can exercise and hopefully get off the medication. I am not enjoying having to take pills but I am enjoying the feeling of finally moving forward with the medical nonsense...

Fell for my best friend... Lost him. Sigh...

I run to try and keep my hypertension in check. It is working for now. But I know at some point we are going to have to go the drug route. Good luck with it, better than dropping dead of a stroke I suppose.

As I sit here next to The Man, I am trying to figure how he did it... I don't know. (We were friends for 6 years before we hooked up.) I am of the opinion that you should shack up with your best friend. Worked for me. Shrug.

Nat's last blog post..Garlic and sesame oil -- A clarification

I have read your comments on Selma's blog and adore them. And by the way, English is not synonymous with dull. Quite the contrary!

With respect to the blood pressure issue, I was just put on medication Monday for the first time at the ripe old age of 55. Naturally, I didn't feel great about it, as it is an inconvenience, and I hate inconveniences.

But at least there is blood pressure medication available. My biological grandfather died in 1942 from a cerebral hemorrhage directly related to his high blood pressure. The poor guy, only 37, lived in a world without medication for this problem.

I guess there has to be a reason hypertension is called "The silent killer."

Glenn's last blog post..THE HEALING OF OUR PLANET MUST BEGIN TODAY!
