Okay, so hopefully you are getting this. I have just upgraded to Wordpress 2.5, which went well. I mean everything looks okay doesn’t it? Any problems, please tell me and I shall stare intelligently at it all and then spend a couple of hours Googling the problem until someone far more knowledgeable than me posts an answer. There are, yes, a couple of issues with the theme around here but I will fix them… potentially tomorrow…
But this isn’t a post about Wordpress. Oh no.
My local local local football team, Kirkham & Wesham, won the second leg of the semi-final of the FA Vase meaning I get to use the immortal phrase ‘We’re going to Wembley!’.
I would like to see the entire town go down and support the club but I foresee a couple of issues.
- The town of Kirkham and Wesham has(according to Wikipedia 7127 people living in it, and Wesham has 3245 (holy crap, really? We have 10,372 people here?)
- Wembley has 90,000 seats. So it may be a little empty
- If half of us travel down by coach (well 5,000 anyway) - we will need about 100 coaches.
- See this - bullet points - never worked for me before - is 2.5 good or what?
Anyway, I am going. May 11th - down south! Breathing the sweet sweet London air baby!
But this post isn’t really about K&W’s excellent win either.
And it isn’t a post reminding people that British Summer Time is here again, which of course means that we are all about to be flooded out!
It’s about the fact that I forgot about it being Earth Hour today which, yes, I feel very very bad about, and to show how bad I feel about it I am ending this post here.

I actually just upgraded to wordpress 2.3.3, I was previously on 2.2.somthing. I am going to upgrade to 2.5 when the automatic installer thing on my host ets round to having 2.5 as a feature.
bloody upgrades. I lost my blogroll and a bunch of other stuff when I upgraded.

Karl - It’s odd - but my ‘love’ for sports comes purely from it’s ability to make me feel something. The highs and lows of the sport… sigh… if I cold find another thing that caused that I would turn me back on all ball related sports… well… most…
Dan - The one problem I had was my theme looked a little more crap than usual, but it seems to have sorted itself out to normal… so I should be okay. Am going to change things round here soon though… Itchy theme syndrome…
Penelope - London’s air is sweet to me - there’s a chance, just a small chance that people will speak proper-like… I can’t believe I forgot about it! Just sat there blithely watching Casualty and boiling the kettle with the lights on, while my bro was on his X-Box and Mum was checking her emails! Bad bad environmentalists! Bad!

I, too, forgot completely about Earth Hour. We are teh suk.
However, as you already know, my upgrade to 2.5 went beautifully!!! I am beside myself with joy. Oh no, wait, that’s just my shadow. But yeah, DAMN. HAPPY.
And is it me, or is 2.5 the sweetest? I was able to dump FOUR plug-ins!!! W00t!

Selma - it’s all about finding a good theme and then modifying the hell out of it. This one is just copying over image files and then monkeying with the css code! I wish I had the tech savvy to be able to do a theme from scratch. Might have to give it a go…

It’s generally just best to avoid being a mentalist altogether.
Unlike Barnsley, Cardiff, Portsmouth and WBA, Kirkham have reasched a FINAL and should be going to Wembley.
