So, yeah, get on with it shall I?
Short version mostly because knackered doesn’t even begin to describe how I feel.
So, doctors today. Went, waited for a bit and then got my results.
Chest X-Ray – All normal.
Blood tests – All normal.
That’s right. Not so much as a slightly elevated hormone.
So, the question is – what next?
And the answer is:
Spirometry (lung function test) next week, and two weeks after that a trip to everybody’s favourite department – Gynaecology. And how I am looking forward to that.
So I got no answers today, but at least a step forwards. It’s a mystery, but it’s my mystery.
Anyway, the cool thing about today is I have been called Excellent by the quite frankly delicious Karl at Secondhand Tryptophan.
The rules of the award say I have to list the rules of the award, so:

I feel relieved they haven’t found anything awful, but not finding anything doesn’t seem to be much help.

yorksdevil – not really but at least they didn’t find the huge pulsating tumour that has been running through my nightmares on the x-ray… Pretty good day really – I don’t have lung cancer! Celebrate good times come on!

I’m glad you are taking it well. i was worried that they wouldn’t turn anything up and you would be disappointed (not that you don’t have anything, but that you don’t know what you have if you know what I mean).

Dan – well, to be honest I was a little disappointed but I am keeping to the ‘no news is good news’ maxim for the time being (which is, of course, total nonsense in thie case but it fits in a stiff upper lip type way). I’m sure you get an E for Excellent every day!
Kimberley – You’ve probably received loads already! Thank you too…
Avitable – As soon as I heard that I was imagining all those stupid designs that I spent hours doing but always messed up at the last moment. I hope I don’t have to spin round and round! Excellent blogger? On a sliding scale I would count myself as ’satisfactory’… But obviously I rule the known universe…
Karl – That’s how I feel everytime someone does a ‘fave’ list or something. I really must go through my feed reader and weed out the ones I have on there because I think I ’should’ but don’t actually read…

You are an excellent blogger. You totally deserve it. I am thrilled you have passed it on to me. You have made my day.
Don’t feel disheartened about your results. Ruling things out is a definite positive. When I was diagnosed with endometriosis it took them two years to come up with the diagnosis because my symptoms weren’t ‘by the book.’ Don’t give up.
