No worries – still giggling with joy!
May I say “Yeehaw”? I went to see it the day it opened in Colchester. I had been worked into a frenzy by seeing the same clip of the Millenium Falcon 4000 times on Tiswas. I awoke during the night before the film and vomited copiuously. I was so scared my mum might not let me go I crept about cleaning it up with a cloth and a top trumps box. Which is why I nearly flew to California and killed George Lucas when Phantom Menace proved to be such cack.
As the fates decided to not let me be the right age to see the original ones in the cinema I was so excited when I got tickets to the preview showing of Phantom Menace. I took my little brother with me to try and show him the way to the geek side. I left feeling joy (the sound of a lightsabre does strange things to me) but also slightly empty… I felt anger… which as we all know is on the path… Sigh…
September 12th is marked in my diary with stars… I am tempted to book it off work…
